Day 1: Flight to Mexico City

Check-in at your nearest international airport for your flight to Mexico City.
(Flexible departures available from major cities worldwide – Viaggio Tours will assist you in arranging the most convenient connection.)
Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free time at leisure.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Casa Blanca 4★ or similar, in the Mexico City area.

Day 2: Mexico City – Teotihuacan – Mexico City

Breakfast at the hotel. Today’s tour includes the visit of Mexico City’s historic center, Zocalo Square, with its main landmarks: the Metropolitan Cathedral (a mix of architectural styles) and the National Palace (exterior view).
Continue along Calle Madero to admire the headquarters of the National Bank of Mexico (exterior), Iturbide Palace, and the famous Casa de los Azulejos, a symbol of the Mexican Revolution.
Departure to Teotihuacan to visit the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the Palace of the Jaguars, and Quetzal-Papillon. Visit a local workshop specialized in volcanic stones – obsidian processing.
Stop at the Basilica of Guadalupe, the most important religious site in Mexico.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Casa Blanca 4★ or similar, in the Mexico City area.

Day 3: Mexico City – Tuxtla Gutierrez – San Cristóbal de las Casas

Breakfast. Transfer to Mexico City Airport for the flight to Tuxtla.
Upon arrival, transfer to the docks for a boat tour of the famous Sumidero Canyon, renowned for its spectacular landscapes.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Masion de la Valle 4★ or similar, in the San Cristóbal de las Casas area.

Day 4: San Cristóbal de las Casas

Breakfast. Today’s tour includes visits to the indigenous villages San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán.
San Juan Chamula offers a glimpse into the daily life and living traditions of the modern-day Maya people.
The community of San Lorenzo Zinacantán is known for its vividly colored clothing, especially in shades of pink and purple.
Transfer back to San Cristóbal de las Casas for a walking tour of the historic center, built in Spanish colonial style, with narrow streets and red-tiled roofs. The tour also includes a visit to a local handicraft market.

Day 5: San Cristóbal de las Casas – Mesilla – Panajachel (Guatemala)

Breakfast. Transfer to the Guatemalan border via the town of Mesilla.
At the border, change of transport and local guide. Continue to Panajachel.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Dos Mundos 3★ or similar.

Day 6: Panajachel – San Juan La Laguna – Antigua Guatemala

Breakfast. Boat ride to the village of San Juan La Laguna to discover the Maya Tzutujil community and learn about their crafts, lifestyle, and traditions.
Return to Panajachel and continue to Antigua Guatemala.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Villa Colonial 4★ or similar.

Day 7: Antigua Guatemala – Guatemala City

Breakfast. Visit La Azotea Coffee Plantation to discover how one of the world’s finest coffees is cultivated and processed, including a tasting session.
Continue with visits to the historic Cupuchinas Convent (built in 1736), La Merced Church (dating from 1767), and a jade factory where you can see how the stones are crafted into jewelry.
Transfer to Guatemala City.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Best Western Stofella 4★ or similar.

Day 8: Guatemala City – Copán (Honduras)

Breakfast. Departure to Copán, the second-largest Mayan archaeological site after Tikal. Visit temples, plazas, and numerous monuments of the ancient Mayan civilization.
Known as the “Athens of the Maya”, Copán impresses with its architectural richness and artistic carvings.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Camino Maya Ciudad Blanca 4★ or similar.

🛏 Overnight location: Copán

Day 9: Copán – Quiriguá – Río Dulce – Livingston

Breakfast. Departure to Quiriguá to visit the ancient city and admire the zoomorphic altars and the tallest stone monuments (stelae) in Mesoamerica.
Continue to Río Dulce and embark on a scenic boat ride to Livingston.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Villa Caribe 4★ or similar.

Day 10: Livingston – Río Dulce – Flores

Breakfast. Explore the Río Dulce area, starting with the historic Castillo de San Felipe fortress.
Continue with a panoramic tour of Livingston, located where the Dulce River meets the Caribbean Sea.
In the afternoon, transfer to Flores.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Peten 3★ or similar.

🛏 Overnight location: Flores

Day 11: Flores – Tikal – Belize City (Belize)

Breakfast. Morning visit to Tikal National Park, covering over 576 km² in the heart of the Mayan Biosphere Reserve.
Discover ancient pyramids hidden in the tropical jungle, surrounded by exotic wildlife including monkeys and colorful birds.
In the afternoon, transfer to Belize City, crossing the border (change of vehicle and local guide).
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Biltmore Plaza 4★ or similar.

🛏 Overnight location: Belize City

Day 12: Belize City – Lamanai – Chetumal (Mexico)

Breakfast. Visit Lamanai, one of the largest Mayan ceremonial centers, known as the “Submerged Crocodile”.
The site features over 800 structures hidden in the dense jungle. Enjoy a boat trip to admire the natural scenery and observe the local wildlife, including monkeys and crocodiles.
Highlights include the Central Plaza, Jaguar Temple, and the High Temple. (Packed lunch included).
In the afternoon, transfer to the Mexican border and continue to Chetumal.
In the evening, accommodation at Hotel Los Cocos 4★ or similar.

🛏 Overnight location: Chetumal

Day 13: Chetumal – Tulum – Playa del Carmen

Breakfast. Transfer to Tulum for a guided visit of the archaeological site and ancient port city.
Continue to Playa del Carmen.

Day 14: Playa del Carmen

Free day for relaxation and individual exploration of the area.
